Former Executive Director: Fahemeh Pirzadeh

Fahemeh earned Master's degrees in Education and Library Sciences from Indiana State University. Fahemeh joined the staff of RCC in 1987, beginning as a preschool teacher. She went on to hold roles as Program Coordinator for the Preschool Program, Program Director of the Infant and Toddler program, and as Deputy Director of RCC. Having spent over 30 years working in the field of education, Fahemeh became Executive Director of RCC in 2004. She has served as a validator for the NAEYC Accreditation Program and she is also a state CDA Trainer. Fahemeh served as Co-President of the NVAEYC and is currently serving as Past-President. She is a FCPS Board member on the Successful Children and Youth Policy team, as well as the FCPS School Readiness Program. 

Interim Executive Director and Program Director, Infant and Toddler Program: Ashley Taylor

Ashley earned a degree in Communications from Wake Forest University and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Curriculum and Development. Ashley joined RCC in 2010, before becoming Infant & Toddler Program Director she held the roles as Infant & Toddler Lead Teacher and Infant & Toddler Program Coordinator.

Program Director, Preschool Programs: Amanda Freeman

Amanda earned a degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from George Mason University. Amanda joined RCC in 2008, before becoming Preschool Program Director Amanda held roles as a Part Day Preschool teacher, School Age Summer Camp counselor, Kindergarten teacher and Preschool Curriculum Coordinator. 

Program Director, School Age Programs: Shanen Elliott

Shanen earned dual degrees in Sports Management and Psychology at Virginia Tech after growing up and attending schools in Reston. Shanen has been a proud member of the RCC staff since 2002. He enjoys his role as Preschool PE Teacher and as the School Age Program and Summer Camp Director since 2007.

Interim Facilities Manager and Program Director, School Age Curriculum: Brian Raubacher

Brain has worked as the Director of the Extended Day Program at St. Marks Catholic School, and as an Assistant Manager for the Breckenridge Child Care Center. Brian joined RCC in 2006, before becoming School Age Curriculum Director, he held the roles as Summer Camp counselor, Before and After School Program Staff, and Summer Camp Field Trip/Floor Coordinator and Summer Camp Program Coordinator.
