Executive Director: Fahemeh Pirzadeh

Fahemeh earned Master's degrees in Education and Library Sciences from Indiana State University. Fahemeh joined the staff of RCC in 1987, beginning as a preschool teacher. She went on to hold roles as Program Coordinator for the Preschool Program, Program Director of the Infant and Toddler program, and as Deputy Director of RCC. Having spent over 20 years working in the field of education, Fahemeh became Executive Director of RCC in 2005.

Program Director, Infant and Toddler Program: Penny Johnson

Penny earned a B.A. in Home Economics with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Eastern New Mexico University. After teaching at a preschool for American children in Germany, a preschool for handicapped children in Texas, and a preschool in Indiana, Penny joined RCC and has been with us for over 30 years.

Program Director, Preschool Programs: Susan Hurley

Susan earned a B.A in Psychology and Liberal Studies. Having joined RCC over 20 years ago, Susan has held roles at RCC in the Part Day Preschool Program, curriculum development, and in the Full Day Preschool, before becoming Preschool Programs Director.

Program Director, School Age Programs: Shanen Elliott

Shanen earned dual degrees in sports management and psychology at Virginia Tech after growing up and attending schools in Reston. Shanen has been a proud member of the RCC staff for over 9 years and enjoys his role as Preschool PE Teacher and the School Age Program and Summer Camp Director.
