Grocery Certificate Program (Scrips)

RCC offers several easy ways to raise additional funds to help build our future. These programs include:

• Grocery Gift Cards/Certificates
• Grocery e-scrip
• Retail Gift Certificates

Grocery gift cards/certificates are available through RCC for use at Giant and Shoppers, RCC receives 4-5% of the face value of the certificate. For example: If you purchase $200 worth of grocery certificates each month. You would pay RCC $200 monthly and then pick up your certificates at the beginning of the month. You use the gift cards/certificates to pay for your ordinary grocery shopping. RCC will receive $10 from the grocery store. There are no expiration dates on these certificates. If every RCC family purchased $300 in grocery certificates each month, RCC would raise nearly $40,000 -- and all you need to do is shop!

Gift Cards/Certificates can be purchased on a onetime basis or on an automatic monthly basis. You can pay for them on your monthly RCC bill, with cash or check. This is also a great way to earn parent hours, for every $1000 in grocery certificates that you purchase, you will earn one parent hour. No sweat, no schedules, no meetings. Just by doing the grocery shopping! Don't hesitate and give it a try. Think about how much you spend on groceries in one month. Take a portion of that amount and purchase a one time order of grocery certificates. See how easy they are to use - and then place your monthly order.

The e-scrip program is another easy way to earn money for RCC for those that do their grocery shopping at either Safeway or Harris Teeter. From approximately October through March, RCC will earn approximately 3% of the various purchases you make while shopping. To set up this program, all you need to do is link your Safeway Value card or your Harris teeter VIP card to RCC. This can be done at the customer service kiosk in the stores, or by simply providing your numbers to RCC. There are no minimum purchases, or anything to pre-pay. The link with RCC will be valid for the entire school year, and must be re-linked each year.

Whether buying for yourself or looking for a gift, you can purchase gift cards through RCC for many popular retailers such as Gap, Old Navy, or Toys-R-Us, restaurants such as Starbucks, Big Bowl, and Chilis. Through this new program the retailer will donate between 3-15% of the value of the gift card to RCC.

These Retail Gift Cards can be purchased on a one time basis or on an automatic monthly basis. You can pay for them on your monthly RCC bill, with cash or check. This is also a great way to earn parent hours, for every $1000 in Retail Gift Certificates you purchase, you will earn one parent hour.
