Part-Day Preschool

Preschool children work both in small groups with children of their own age and in open-time. (For two and 1/2 half year-olds, open-time begins after an adjustment period of up to several months).

Small group activities include stories, art, music, dance and playground. About twice a month, children take field trips to local playgrounds, parks, museums, Fire and Police Departments, or businesses.

The part-day preschool (PDP) runs from September to mid-June and follows the Fairfax County, VA public school schedule. The PDP two and 1/2 half year-old groups meet Thursday and Friday mornings; the PDP three-year-old group meets Monday through Wednesday mornings; and the PDP four-year-old group meets Monday through Friday mornings.
