Center Closings
RCC is closed on most federal holidays and for staff orientation. Please see the official 2007-2008 RCC Calendar for specific dates.

Holiday Celebrations
The center closings include many of the national holidays that we observe with age-appropriate activities. In addition, we may plan suitable activities around cultural and/or national patriotic holidays.

Birthdays
Our staff makes a special effort to create a memorable day for each birthday child. Crowns are made, special stories are read, and “Happy Birthday to You” is sung, usually more than once. The staff would like to be responsible for providing a healthy and nutritious birthday snack. All parents will be invited to join in their child’s snack celebration.

Snow Days and Holidays
The part-day preschool program follows the Fairfax County kindergarten calendar. Please see the RCC Calendar for scheduled school closings and listen to the radio or television for weather-related delays and closings
